INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY
Our investment philosophy, "Applied Frontier", guides our approach to the market. We are focused mainly on B2B and enterprise applications of frontier and emerging technologies, but will evaluate interesting opportunities with great founders as they arise.
The founders we seek are passionate, curious, capable in their respective fields and seek to apply that passion and talent towards solving the world's most challenging problems. Our firm is also cognizant of supporting underrepresented technology founders (age, race, gender, ethnicity, geography) who align around the main thesis of '“Applied Frontier.”
We are a true pre-seed/seed-stage investment firm and like to take positions in a company's first outside capital raise. We are not opposed to leading, and happily co-invest with many partners and early-stage investors.
After our initial investment, we intend to usually follow-on up and through the first growth round -- and continue to help through the entire company trajectory. Building a company is very tough, we're in it for the long haul and the ups and downs. We are fellow founders and entrepreneurs ourselves, and try to add value when needed.
